This meeting will be the last date you can submit new ideas or event information for Green Week; if you cannot attend personally, please confirm your event and request scheduling information by emailing Tetsu Ohara at tohara@pratt.edu by Tues, January 26th at 5pm.
We need to finalize the details and scheduling of all Green Week events (March 29th - April 2nd) by the end of January so that press releases, posters and articles can be created and disseminated in time to be effective.

A one-day conference, "Bio-Sequestration and Climate Law and Policy," will be held on Friday, October 23rd at Columbia Law School in New York. Panels will cover these topics: -The Science of Sequestration and its Role in Climate Policy -Lessons Learned from On-the-Ground Projects -International/Reducing Emissions from Deforestation in Developing Countries -Federal Legislation and Incentives for Sequestration -Forest and Agricultural Products and Co-benefits; Sustainability Criteria and Measuring, Monitoring, Verification, and Certification

Three Sustainability projects will be held in several locations at the Pratt School of Architecture building, Higgins Hall, on October 21st.
SUSTAINABILITY DEGREE PROJECTS, 2009 will be open in the main gallery at Higgins Hall throughout the day.
Digital projections of SUSTAINABLE DORM PROJECTS, Third Year Design Studios, Fall 2008, as indicative of similar Fall 2009 dorm projects, will be shown on the two story wall of "the pit" in the main lobby of Higgins Hall.
On-going daylighting and artificial lighting simulations will take place at Higgins Hall North in the Christina Porter Lighting Lab.
Sift Journal is the first sustainable journal at Pratt Institute for and by interior, architecture, and industrial design students and faculty. The publication will be recyclable and will feature commentaries, editorials, and artwork on student and faculty work relating to environmental issues, and feature specific projects and events.
Sift Journal is seeking submissions for the first publication related to sustainable design. Please email siftjournal@gmail.com for more information and to submit topics by October 16th, 2009.

In celebration of National Sustainable Campus Day Envirolution is hosting a materials swap! Find new inspiring materials and give away all that cardboard cluttering your closets on October 21st from 12–5pm outside of Engineering. This event is open to all departments, students and faculty. Campus Area Biking - Bike Usage SurveyKamdyn Moore, a graduate student within the Urban Environmental Systems Management program, created Campus Area Biking (CAB) to utilize community based planning processes to not only asses the needs of Pratt's cycling population to engage the Institute's leadership in building a collaborative and sustainable bike-friendly infrastructure on campus. Ms. Moore looks to identify opportunities for creating an optimal cycling community that will include physical infrastructure, community engagement, and education opportunities in an around Pratt.
